After a solid year of your prayers & financial support ya’ll have helped me collect allllll $17,900 I need to finish out my 11 months on mission with the World Race!!! At the beginning of my fundraising journey I was quite unsure how I’d fundraise alllllll this money. I quickly learned I indeed wouldn’t be able to do it…alone… I would need my community in order to do so. & ya’ll truly showed up!! With this realization came the beautiful journey of partnering with ya’ll.
Fundraising for the World Race has taught me…
- Humbleness
- I was raised very independent & taught to be self sufficient. So, when I realized I was incapable of riding this one out solo I had to come before the Father & ask Him to guide me. Fundraising helped me grow in learning to ask & receive for help. It also taught me that we aren’t created to do things alone.
- Surrender
- The day I learned to surrender my control over this whole thing I was met with assurance & peace that my desire to serve on the World Race was indeed in God’s plan & He was going to take care of me.
- Community
- I cannot emphasize enough how I wouldn’t be here today without ya’ll championing me along the way. *que happy tears*
- Gratitude
- This was something that came with every text I received from a friend telling me they were praying for me. This also came with every Venmo payment I received. Despite the fact that I was literally asking ya’ll for your support I still felt so unworthy each time ya’ll would respond with your “YES”. Again, thank you!
- Faithfulness
- Can I just say PRAISE THE LORD! My call to the World Race began back in high school… here I am 6ish years later doing the dang thing! This is just a testimony to God’s faithfulness. What I mean is He put a desire on my heart & continued to pursue me & has shown up every step of the way. WOW ain’t that good!
I still have the pleasure of serving 4 more months overseas! Although I’m fully funded there are still personal expenses I will incur while I’m on the field.
